Back to School with The (Not Quite) Terrible Comms Networkers

We are back in September with another edition of the Terrible Comms Networkers, who are objectively becoming better at networking with each passing event!

September is a month of starts and restarts in Brussels. While some of us get back to work after well-deserved holidays, others arrive for the first time to start a new chapter in their life (internships, full-time jobs, you name it). So, let's start the last part of the year in the best way possible by informally meeting up with fellow Communications professionals and helping ourselves to feel part of a great, supportive community.

If you have been to a previous edition of ''The Terrible Comms Networkers'', you know the drill: come as you are, stay as long or as short as you want, talk about whatever you want because there's no agenda or awkward icebreakers, and don't bother with business cards because LinkedIn exists.

We cannot wait to see you there – either again or for the first time ever!

    Who is this event for?
Communications people can often feel alone and isolated in their jobs, especially in a policy-ruled city like Brussels. The Terrible Comms Networkers events are meant to give Communications professionals a no-pressure space to meet each other. It doesn't matter if you work in the private, public/institutions, or non-profit sector; if you are a freelancer or a full-time employee; if you have 20 years of experience or are just starting your journey – if you are a Communications person, you're one of us and we want you there!

I've never been to The Terrible Comms Networkers' events; how did this all start?
It started with a LinkedIn post in January 2026, when Ana Oliveira wrote something simple: she wanted to meet more communications professionals in Brussels. Over 200 people turned up to the first edition in February. Vol. 2 in April filled just as fast, and despite the heatwave in June, Vol. 3 was a success in its park-based ''Commschella'' theme.
